MICROWAVE DIRECTIONS

1.  Mix All Ingredients: Transfer all ingredients from pouches into bowl and mix thoroughly. 

2. Add Water: Add a small amount of water or broth, between 1 cup to 1 and half cup water, stirring to adjust the thickness. Add more water for desired consistency. 

3. Heat: Microwave on high for 3 minutes, pausing to stir for even heating.

4. Stir & Continue: Stir the soup thoroughly, then microwave for an additional 3-4 minutes until it’s heated through. Do not microwave for more than a total of 7 minutes!

5. Serve: Let it cool slightly, then serve with your favorite side dish.

COOKING DIRECTIONS

1. Empty the contents of the instant Egusi soup into a medium-sized saucepan.

2. Add 1 to 1.5 cups of water (depending on your desired thickness).

3. Stir thoroughly to combine the ingredients evenly.

4. Place the saucepan on medium heat and bring the soup to a gentle boil, stirring occasionally.

5. Once it starts boiling, reduce the heat to low and let the soup simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.

6. Check the consistency—add a little more water if needed and stir to combine.

7. Once the soup reaches your preferred thickness and is fully heated through, remove from heat.

8. Let the soup cool slightly before serving. Enjoy with your favorite side dish, such as rice, pounded yam, or fufu!

SAUTÉING/FRYING DIRECTIONS

1. Heat oil: Heat desired amount of palm oil in a medium-sized pan over medium heat.

2. Empty the contents: Empty all ingredients of the instant Egusi soup, except the meat, into the pan once the oil is hot.

3. Stir continuously: Stir thoroughly to allow the Egusi mix to absorb the oil and to evenly heat the soup mixture.

4. Add 1 to 1.5 cups of water and meat: Add 1 to 1.5 cups of water (adjust to your desired thickness), andd meat and stir thoroughly to combine all the ingredients.

5. Allow the mixture to simmer on medium-low heat for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.

6. Adjust the consistency by adding more water if necessary, and stir to incorporate.

7. Once the soup is fully cooked, flavorful, and reaches your preferred thickness, remove from heat.

8. Let it cool slightly before serving, and enjoy with your favorite side, such as rice, pounded yam, or fufu!
